Barkmere has controlled lake access via 2 locked gates at the Municipal wharfs.

Day parking is allowed at the wharfs for a 6 hour period.

No over night parking is allowed.

Opening hours, decontamination and fees.

Opening Hours

Week days :  8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Week ends :  8:00 to 11:00 a.m. and from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

There are fees for opening the gate after hours.

All boats must be decontaminated before lake access is granted.

This is to protect our lake from the threat of contaminants, such as milfoil

and other parasitic organisms.
